Bio

I am Yura Miron, born in 1991 in Kyiv, Ukraine. As a multidisciplinary artist, I have been a dynamic force in the world of new media arts since 2011. My work includes digital painting since 2011, animation from 2012, immersive virtual realities since 2015, as well as generative art and electronic music performances since 2016.

About the Work

Since early 2019, I have been creating art primarily using AI tools and releasing them as NFTs on crypto art galleries such as SuperRare and Foundation. Over the years, I have created and minted more than 1200 artworks on the blockchain. As an innovator in the field of crypto art, I also curate a significant collection of digital artworks. My collector's portfolio exceeds 700 pieces on the Ethereum and Tezos blockchains. My innovative spirit has led to exhibitions in museums, galleries, virtual spaces worldwide, including USA (LA, NYC, Burning Man, Denver, Art Basel Miami), United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, China, OAE, and across the Metaverse.

About This Piece

My CryptoCubes piece is titled ‘Mindfulness’. The creation process: a mixed media piece - first I’ve created a base drawing of face inspired by tibetan thangka art, then I took CryptoCube #88 - reimagined it with AI tools and animated it in Unity 3D and then I combined this animation with my drawing in Adobe Premiere.

Future

NFTs and Web3 have provided me with massive opportunities. Thanks to NFTs I’ve been able to exhibit my art worldwide, also I’ve been able to be a full time artist since 2019. I’m not sure about my personal future in NFTs since most collectors who have appreciated my art have left the space and those who are still actively collecting have already had enough of my illiquid artworks in their collections. I hope things will get better and we’ll see many new collectors joining and many old re-joining back. In general I think NFTs are here to stay and have a bright future, especially for digital and generative art.
