Bio
My name is Jaiden and I am a 19 year old artist from Washington. I started making art at 14 through adobe illustrator and have worked through many different styles and mediums over the years.
About the Work
When I started making art, it was exclusively digital, working in Adobe Illustrator. However, a couple years in I made a switch to drawing and found a completely different avenue to expressing my work. Since then I have worked with paint, markers, chalk, and honestly anything I can get my hands on while still keeping the digital work prevalent.
About This Piece
My CryptoCubes piece took a whileee to come around. It started as a piece in illustrator in a completely different style than the final product, and I kept getting frustrated that it was going nowhere. So frustrated, I decided to switch the piece over to Procreate in more of a drawn style and discovered a feature where I could draw directly on the model, and from there it fell into place. I spent about a week in my free time in a hotel in California grinding away and filling the Cube with my artwork and it came out exactly how I envisioned it. Looking back there’s a few things I could’ve changed and done a bit better with but that’s all in the past.
Future
Crypto and NFTs allowed me to have a platform with my artwork that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity that I got with them and I hope to continue working on them in the near future even though I’ve been in a bit of a hiatus the past year or two focusing on school.
