Fabin Rasheed is an award-winning Indian artist, designer, innovator and technologist working at the intersection of creativity, technology and consciousness, currently based out of Dubai, UAE.
Fabin's works revolve around exploring different creative expressions through innovative methods touching topics like society, philosophy and spirituality. His works span a variety of technologies like Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, Gestures, Voice, Generative arts, NFT etc.
His works have been featured in multiple international venues like Art Dubai (UAE), Museum of the Future (Dubai, UAE), Ars Electronica (Global Gallery), NeurIPS Creativity Gallery (Vancouver, Canada), Scope Art Show during Art Basel (Miami, USA), Florence Biennale (Florence, Italy), Athens Digital Art Festival (ADAF, Athens, Greece), Boston Cyberarts (Boston, USA), Singapore Art Week (Singapore) etc.
He has worked with innovation labs at Xerox Research, Adobe, IIT Guwahati etc. He also holds 6+ patents and multiple publications in creativity and technology. His works have also been featured in national and international media like Forbes, Popular Science, NBC, Fast Company, Indian Express, Business Standard, Al-Arabiya etc.
He is also the winner of the Magzoid Art Icons Award, ftNFT international award, was nominated in 2021 for the Digital Innovation in Arts award, selected in 2021 as a top 10 global finalist at the Aurea Awards, presented at Adobe MAX 2018, and was recognized as a top innovator from India in 2015 by NCSI, Pune, presenting to the Vice President of India. Fabin is also an artist council member at the Museum of Cryptoart.
He has been an advisor for art projects and platforms like TheUpsideSpace. He is also a guest lecturer at institutes like IITH, MITID etc. Fabin holds a Masters Degree in Design from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.
About the Work
I am a multidisciplinary artist. I usually work with new tech to tell stories with philosophical, psychological or spiritual undertones. Currently I am exploring the world of the subconscious.
About This Piece
The work was a concept which came to me in a vision (for a lack of a better word) of the creation becoming the creator. A play of words on how the universe creates the mind and how the mind creates the universe.
Future
NFTs gave me a strong push in establishing myself in the digital art sphere and exposing my work to a worldwide audience, at the same time helping me financially to make large life moves. I am working towards bridging more physical elements into my work in the future as well as delving deeper into human consciousness to discover ways of understanding being.
