Bio

My name is Sinclair. I’m a self-taught abstract artist. I simplify life through abstraction My artistic journey began when I started drawing with one line to express the idea that “we are all connected”. I was inspired by the fact that a single line could hold such a deep meaning.

All of my art holds a deeper meaning, but I believe that it’s ultimately up to you to determine what that meaning is.

As an artist, I believe it is my job to present you with the unfiltered truth. The truth is, we all experience the same things. We all have the “human condition”.

When I create, I channel these shared experiences into my art in an attempt to capture reality as it truly is.

About the Work

My creative process includes many different kinds of mediums, and often combines the physical with the digital. When I first started making art, it was all physical drawings on paper, and acrylic/oil paintings on canvas. As my style developed, and the art world evolved, I began to explore the digital realm by creating paintings and animations on my iPad. Recently, I have combined the two practices by including physical elements of my paintings within digital animations.

About This Piece

My CryptoCubes piece was inspired by the nightlife in Chicago. I wanted to make the CryptoCube into someone’s head, representing the person’s complex mind and thoughts. I then added other characters moving around the scene. Each frame of the animation is hand made on my iPad. The work is meant to express the thoughts and emotions while out alone in the city. I’ll leave the rest open to the viewer’s interpretation.

Future

Joining the NFT and Web3 community was a pivotal moment in my artistic career. It allowed me, as an artist, to not only survive off of my art, but thrive off of it. I found a network of like minded individuals who truly enjoyed and supported my work, and I’m forever grateful for all of the awesome people that I’ve gotten to know throughout this digital journey. NFTs also helped to evolve my art. I felt inspired to create artwork that pushed the boundaries of digital/physical art.

The future looks exciting for me. I’m always working on something new. Currently, I’m finishing up a collection of new paintings that have digital animation added to them. I’ve also started to release more hand painted clothes. I’m excited to see what new art I create in the future and I look forward to some artistic collaborations that I would love to make happen!
