About the Work
My work has a strong illustrative and graphical background. Adobe Photoshop will forever be my favorite tool where I can fine-tune colors endlessly. But throughout the year I managed to educate myself in different mediums and softwares. From animation to code, to typography.
About This Piece
The fun challenge with the collaboration with Han was of course how much Han his very straight Cubes clash with my very organic feel I often add to my work. I had to find a middle ground where both elements are getting the respect they deserve. While the entire scene is made in 3D (cinema4d + Houdini) the textures are actually scanned in canvases I painted with real paint. Meaning the piece itself is a very nice blend between me and Han but also between the digital and the physical life.
It was also my first "moving" mint.
Future
It's funny how web3 made everything full-circle to me personally. I really try to tap into that energy I felt discovering digital art at the age of 14. Trying new things on a daily basis and actually being able to call myself an artist instead of a tool for rich corporations opened many doors for me. Not only literally but also mentally it triggered a whole new world.
