The Sentinel by Reuben Wu
The Sentinel
Bio
Reuben Wu is a multidisciplinary artist who uses technology and the concept of time and space to help tell compelling stories about the world we inhabit.
About the Work
Working in photography, as well as in video and music, he often uses aerial lighting to illuminate remote locations at night. From behind the camera, he seeks to reinterpret and explore new forms of geological portraiture, each image in this body of work a carefully-planned scene using light-carrying drones positioned above the landscape.
About This Piece
The Sentinel is an audiovisual piece inspired by Arthur C Clarke’s short story that inspired 2001: A Space Odyssey. It is a combination of scenes from different places with CryptoCube #253, a piece which fits perfectly within this sublime and imaginary composition.
Future
NFTs transformed the way I think about the experimental artworks I create that seemed to not fit into any established medium or genre in art. Not only pushing my own personal work forward but also establishing a strong band and community with other artists from many different genres.
