Bio

I'm Erin Beesley, a multimedia artist from North Carolina. I've been using computers to make art since I was 12. From a young age, I've been drawn to experimenting—whether it's with code, unconventional tools, hardware tinkering, whatever got me to the end goal of whatever I wanted to make - almost always new ideas would spring off of the original ideas I had.

About the Work

I find myself working in whatever medium is relevant to a project - I've trained my own image models, made my own pcbs for projects, used pen plotters, 3D printers, microcontrollers. I absolutely love just learning new things to make something that calls to me.

About This Piece

I took every frame of a turnaround of the Cube, and encoded them into a vqgan, messed with the encoding and decoded each frame - it was so simple but created so many interesting patterns and I'm so obsessed with it!

Future

If it weren't for NFTs, I don't think I would've found myself enjoying creating as much as I do. They opened doors I never expected, connecting me with incredible artists, collectors, and communities that pushed me to explore my work in new ways. The space gave me opportunities to create without boundaries, to experiment freely, and to share my ideas with people who truly resonate with them!
