Bio

I'm a Canadian Digital Artist and have been creating a 3D render a day for over four years.

About the Work

I use the 3D software Blender, and Photoshop for post processing. My pieces often showcase some type of nature environment along with the main concept. The concept will often showcase a recurring character doing various things, whether it's as common as fishing or as uncommon as walking alongside fishes in the woods, anything can happen.

About This Piece

I took a simple approach to the pieces since I thought the design of the Cubes matched my character's head, creating common ground between the subject and the item. I tried to imagine a CryptoCube life size and how heavy it would be if they were made of concrete. Putting myself at my character's place, the simple act of holding the thing would be pretty intense and would create an interesting pose. Then placing the character and their pose in a mysterious and bright environment to complete the whole thing. All the 3D work was done in Blender and some light post processing in Photoshop along with Topaz Studio to add a bit of a painterly look to it.

Future

It provided the opportunity to let serious collectors acquire my work without the process of a traditional museum as the middleman. Getting directly in contact with them and simply having a chat on what they think about the piece collected, or how they interpret it, it's great. Currently the state of NFTs seems to have calmed down a ton since its massive popularity a few years prior, but for the future, I think it's a good thing. Only the people that want to be part of the space will remain, creating a healthy place for artists and collectors.
