Bio

I am a lens-based artist and university based in New York City, studying digital media and financial technology. I have been taking photos since I was 13 years old, with an evolving focus on emotions evoked by natural and urban landscapes.

About the Work

I use mirrorless camera systems and camera drones to capture landscapes all over the world. Often I am travelling to a place with a specific shot in mind. I enjoy shooting in mountainous and extreme terrain where I feel most alive. Once I have the photo, I begin my digital process in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, manipulating colours and elements of the photo to replicate the feeling I had on location.

About This Piece

My CryptoCubes interpretation, 'Redemption' centres on an angelic conception created by CryptoCube #195. When selecting the cube I would interpret, this Cube immediately jumped out to me due to its V-shaped, winged formation and halo-esque colours. I strung together a series of 30 frames captured in the lava beds of Hawaii to form an animated self-portrait and blended the rotating cube into the frame using Adobe Premiere for an added layer of motion and surrealism to the piece.

Future

NFTs and Web3 have opened doors for me to become less reliant on traditional client-based photography work and pursue a deeper form of artistic expression with the medium. I have found that I can create in a truer sense without commercial limitations and trying to incorporate brand or client visions; solely my own. The future will bring more experimentation with video and perception based art.
