Bio
Majority digital painter, though, I have dabbled in more traditional mediums. I'm an artist that likes to blend colour and contrast in order to replicate the passing moments within my mind. Time capsules of creativity that allow the viewer a front row seat into my thoughts. I invite you to pull up a chair.
About the Work
Though I have explored a range of mediums, I have found I am most fulfilled when I create expressionist work, something about sharing myself in a way only I know how, and then inviting the viewer to understand it in whichever way they choose, feels unexplainably magical. No hand holding, no spoon feeding, just me in the moment and you in another, painting a scene together.
About This Piece
I was having a tough time with my work after entering creative block. Then in a moment of inspiration. I decided I would create a piece around this exact struggle. It's something I never anticipated I would endure, I used to make daily art, had a notebook with hundreds of concepts, but eventually I had more pages than I had ideas, and it started to dawn on me that I was entering a state of creative null. As an artist this is terrifying, the one tool I use to fully express who I truly am has been clouded by an unexplainable wall. That is where the idea behind "creative block" was born, a messy look into everything that was floating around my mind that day, with an audible emphasis on how it feels when your creativity is stripped away from you in an instant.
Future
My life changed because of this space. Everyone from the artists on the timeline to those willingly wanting to be a part of my vision, has taught me what it is to truly feel seen. I've been working on a project over the last 1+ years, called Decisions, Upsets and Unknowns - An Echo of Sacrifice. The only way I can explain it is: art wrapped in story, wrapped in art. I've put a lot of thought into what this is, and what it will become, and I'm excited, though nervous to share it with you all soon. This is but the first step into the unknown, a universe much larger than myself lives beyond.
