He’s lived and worked in the Midwest, Florida, New York City, San Francisco, and Puerto Rico. He is currently developing his own characters, affectionately referred to as "Beanlings," and exploring new avenues for his creative expression.
About the Work
Jack often pulls from his experience in the motion design world as that practice borrows from many different creative avenues. A motion designer needs to understand timing, rhythm, design, animation, illustration, composition. All of these, ultimately, to express a feeling or to tell a story. Jack takes this philosophy with him into everything he does. He takes joy in not having a single set-in-stone workflow, and is constantly searching for new creative technologies to implement into his workflow.
About This Piece
For ‘Test Dummies’, Jack’s rendition of CryptoCube #144, he used a combination of digital techniques that were most relevant to his artistic journey at the moment. A blend of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
Future
To Jack, the wild world of cryptocurrency feels like an online game of high stakes PVP and is constantly exploring this theme in his work. To help him express this, he uses his trademark Beanling as an avatar and in this piece he uses it to represent players dropping into the arena to get knocked out on their journey as they fall deeper and deeper.
