Bio

Vexx (b.1998) is a Belgian artist based in Brussels, best known for his vibrant doodle-style works that capture vividly creative scenes one might see in a dream. He has been fortunate enough to collaborate with brands like Porsche, Disney, Gucci, Puma, Nickelodeon.

One of the most imaginative young artists working today, Vexx makes work that is easy to recognize but difficult to categorize. His signature characters, which he calls 'Doodles', pair imaginative and pop-culture imagery with a contemporary aesthetic. By creating a colourful cast of characters inspired by childhood influences, art history, and pop culture, he blurs boundaries between high and low.

As a result of his talent, Vexx has quickly become one of the most recognized artists on social media, with over 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube and nearly 750 thousand on Instagram.

Vexx's work has been exhibited at prominent international Museums and Galleries, including CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, Moco Museum in Amsterdam, and the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles.

About the Work

My artistic journey has always been a mix of precision and experimentation, constantly evolving as I explore new techniques and mediums. I started out with intricate marker and ink illustrations, building a recognizable style with bold outlines and highly detailed, colourful compositions. Over time, that signature aesthetic expanded onto larger canvases, murals, and even spray-painted skate decks, blending fine art with elements of street art.

Beyond traditional and fine art, I’ve always looked for ways to bring my work into the real world—whether through collaborations with brands like SpongeBob and Mickey Mouse on collectible art toys, designing limited-edition clothing, or creating unique projects that push my creativity in new directions. I love finding different ways for people to engage with my art, whether it's something they can wear, display, or even play with.

No matter the medium, the common thread in my work is a strong sense of energy, movement, and character. Whether it’s a detailed drawing, a massive mural, or a collectible figure, everything I create carries that playful, imaginative spark. Right now, I’m in a phase of reinvention, exploring new techniques and styles, and finding ways to merge my past work with a future that feels more experimental, expressive, and limitless.

About This Piece

From the moment I chose my Cube, I felt an instant connection to it. There was something about its form that inspired me, and I knew I wanted to create a piece where 2D and 3D elements wouldn’t just coexist but truly enhance each other. That synergy was key—I wanted the artwork to feel immersive, like the design was alive within the structure itself.

I depicted a dragon as the central figure, a creature that has always fascinated me and appears frequently in my work. There’s something about dragons that feels both powerful and timeless, and I loved the idea of wrapping that energy around the Cube, letting it interact with the form in a way that made it feel dynamic from every angle. It wasn’t just about decorating a surface—it was about making the cube itself an essential part of the composition.

Being part of this collection was an exciting challenge, pushing me to think beyond my usual canvas and experiment with depth and dimension in a new way. I’m proud of what I created and even more proud to be part of something that brings together so many unique artistic visions in one place.

Future

NFTs and Web3 opened up a completely new way for me to connect with my audience and share my work in a way that wasn’t possible before. As an artist, I’ve always loved experimenting with different mediums, and the idea of bringing my art into the digital space—where it could be owned, collected, and appreciated in a whole new way—was really exciting. It also introduced a new level of engagement, where collectors weren’t just buying artwork but becoming part of a community that valued the creative process in a different way.

That said, the NFT space has evolved a lot since its early hype, and I think the future of Web3 in art will be about longevity and real artistic value rather than just trends. I see it as a tool—one that can complement physical art rather than replace it. Moving forward, I’m more focused on fine art and large-scale projects, but if the right opportunity comes along, I’d love to explore new ways to merge digital and physical art in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.
