About This Piece
I see the artwork created in collaboration with crypto cubes “ Static Field” as an experiment in bringing the world that Han created into the visual language I have developed over the last decade of my career.
Future
As an artist, I will always be attracted to experimenting with new mediums. I started my career more than a decade ago using traditional tools. A few years later, I began creating with digital mediums out of necessity. I worked for years in the video game and film industries, and digital art is the standard to be a competent part of that machine. For years I felt digital painting was always seen as inferior, especially in the context of the art world. I don't necessarily consider myself a digital artist or a traditional artist. I’ll make art with whatever I can get my hands on. But when I discovered NFTs, I felt some kind of vindication. The possibility of finally legitimising digital artworks in the art world is so exciting. Having new tools to distribute my work and connect to an audience that appreciates my art is empowering.
To be honest, I don't know what the future will bring. As an artist, you learn to go with the flow and adapt to the inevitable changes as culture and technology evolve. All I can hope for is to stay tuned into that flow and grab inspiration from it to keep creating.
